At first glance, anyone would think Tayuya was another popular, pretty girl who spent her time chatting on her cell and doing all manner of girly activities, none of which she would be caught dead doing. Despite her cute looks, she acts enough like a boy that throughout junior high the teachers were certain there had been a mistake on their records and promptly suited her for the boy's uniform. That was just fine with her, seeing as she tends to think most girls are brainless idiots. Of course, she tends to think just about everyone is a brainless idiot. Tayuya swears enough to make a sailor blush, and then some. Hardly any sentence is safe from an added expletive, which she has successfully mastered using as nouns, verbs and adjectives. Her manner of speech is blunt and she isn't afraid to say exactly what she thinks, whenever she feels like it. The worse reaction she can get from someone, the better. That being said, she is very likely to tear out your throat should you speak ill of the few people she calls friends - even though she trashtalks them on a regular basis. But that's just her way of showing how much she cares (we think). An utter delinquent who actually manages decent grades when she cares enough to show up to class, Tayuya has an infamous temper which is usually accompanied by the threat to shove any number of objects up the various orifices of the offending party. This has led to quite a large number of fights both on and off school grounds. Needless to say, she has seen quite a lot of the detention hall. Despite her antagonistic behavior, she is actually a rather good strategist and a natural when it comes to anything musical. However, she generally dislikes people seeing that side of her, as she considers it girly and weak. |
Tayuya grew up in Shibuya, surrounded by people coming and going on a regular basis. Her parents owned and operated a karaoke bar, in which Tayuya spent her younger years watching drunken salarymen and giggly schoolgirls belt out their favorite tunes in the worst voices imaginable. The more people she saw, listened to and interacted with, the less she liked hanging around and the more she hated seeing her parents acting so nice to everyone who gave them business. Business tycoons boasting in drunken slurs about cheating on their wives with girls half their age, endless streams of girls in short skirts gabbing about boyfriends this, makeup that... not one person who came in seemed to have a decent head on their shoulders, and occasionally Tayuya let them know it. When it came time for her to enter junior high, she had already been involved in three drunken brawls (though, of course, she hadn't been the one drinking), two street fights, and was being held responsible for certain property damage at one of the local stores. Throughout it all, her parents just kept smiling and apologizing, and she came to realize just how much she hated them. Junior high was mostly uneventful, aside from being mistaken for a boy due to her rude behavior and language. It was there, however, that she met the people who became her closest (and really, only) friends: Sakon, Ukon, Kidoumaru and Jirobou. Before the group reached graduation, they had already formed themselves into a makeshift gang which carried over when they all entered Konoha Gakuen the following year. It wasn't long before their gang was secretly approached by a rather wealthy 'investor' who offered to initiate the group as a new division of the foremost gang in the area. Of course, they accepted. Now, in her third year of high school, Tayuya plays first-chair flute in the school band and in her spare time picks fights, engages in alleyway brawls, and wipes the floor with anyone dumb enough to challenge her or make a comment about her being girly. |
